Have you ever felt like an outsider—excluded, overlooked, or like you simply didn't belong? In Ephesians 2, Paul reminds the Gentile believers that this was once their spiritual reality. They were separated from Christ, excluded from God's covenant people, and living without God and without hope. But because of Jesus, everything changed. Those who were once far away have been brought near, and Christ Himself has become our peace.
Through His death on the cross, Jesus didn't simply reconcile individuals to God—He broke down the walls that separated people from one another and created one new family. In Christ, outsiders become citizens, strangers become sons and daughters, and divided people are carefully joined together into a dwelling place for God's Spirit. We no longer have to live defined by shame, isolation, or uncertainty about where we belong. We have been redeemed, given a new identity and inheritance, and welcomed into the family of God. The question is no longer whether there is a place for us. Through Christ, there is. The question is whether we will receive the peace, identity, and belonging He has made possible and discover who we truly are in Him.
