Ephesians 3
God’s Mysterious Plan Revealed

What comes to mind when you think of a great mystery? In Ephesians 3, Paul reveals a mystery far greater than any puzzle we could solve on our own—a plan God had been unfolding throughout history and had now revealed through Jesus Christ. The mystery is that God's family is open to everyone. Jews and Gentiles, once separated from one another, now share equally in God's promises, belong to the same body, and receive the same inheritance through Christ. And remarkably, God chooses the Church—this diverse, unified family of believers—to display His wisdom to the world and even to the unseen spiritual realm.
But Paul doesn't want us simply to understand God's plan; he prays that we would experience it. He prays that the Holy Spirit would strengthen us from within, that our roots would grow deeply into God's love, and that we would begin to grasp just how wide, long, high, and deep the love of Christ truly is. This is a love too great to fully understand, yet God invites us to experience it and be made complete through His life and power. And when that power is at work within us, God is able to accomplish infinitely more than we could ask or imagine. The question is: Are we willing to let Christ make His home in our hearts, root ourselves deeply in His love, and allow His power to accomplish something greater through us than we ever thought possible?
